Rena is a very distant person, hardly ever trusting anyone after her incident. Before the incident, she was a very hyper-active and optimistic person, always looking on the bright side of things and cheering everybody up. After though, she was the one that needed cheering up, but there was no one left to do so. Her personality: sarcastic, pessimistic, and occassionally unintentionally rude and blunt to a point where it can make someone start crying, but then feeling bad for doing so. Despite her personality, she is amazingly good with kids, still being one at heart underneath the thick layer of coldness that was placed over her heart.

Martial Arts

It was about seven o'clock in the morning when Rena woke up in her small town not too far away from the Ancient Forest to find her house completely empty. It wasn't only her house. When the young twelve year old walked outside, she found that there was no one in her town at all. Everything was dark and misty, so Rena didn't seen the bandits following her until they grabbed both her arms and her legs and threw her in the back of a car and drove off.

Now it was nine o'clock. Rena was finally understanding what had happened as she listened to the bandits talk in the car. Everyone in the village was either dead or prisoners, and she was going to end up like the prisoners: experiments for someone by the name of Professor Hojo.

At twelve o'clock, they had finally arrived at where the prisoners were being taken: ShinRa Mansion. She was scared and when she saw dead bodies on tables and frozen pieces of bodies in jars, she passed out.

4:30 was the time when Rena was woken up in a cell by the bandits, although they looked cleaner and were in white robes with masks over there mouths. She was taken into a room and the next thing she knew, she was being injected with something called "Jenova Cells" for an experiment? She was scared and around a minute after being injected, she passed out.

Rena woke up the next day at eleven o'clock and when she woke up, they attempted more experiments on her, and then more, until Rena joined a party with two other people that had been injected with this "Jenova Cell" stuff and they escaped the mansion. Apparently, they knew more than she did. After they explained everything to the twelve year old, they led her back to her old town and then they parted their ways. When she got to the village, she saw the dead bodies of all her family and friends, causing a cold outer layer to cover her heart and change her personality completely, making her a very sad person.

About a week later, Rena was captured again because the stupid twelve year old couldn't leave the memories of her town and that was the first place the SOLDIERs looked. They found her and took her back. Vincent Valentine was already finished being experimented on a long time ago and was in a coffin. They basically did the same things to her as they did to Vincent. Her body would stop growing and she would be trapped as a twelve year old forever. Or well, until she died, which wouldn't be anytime soon. The only thing Hojo didn't do to her was place something like Chaos in her body, since he had no reason to do this. Although, he did want to do one more experiment to her. Only she didn't give him the chance.

It had only been about a week until Rena broke out of the mansion and ran just as far as she could. Just to make sure anyone from ShinRa didn't recognise her, she adorned new clothes and used 'Skye' as her alias.

The little twelve year old, Jenova Cell injected Rena is now the twenty-four year old, Jenova Cell injected Skye.

Yuffie walked through Midgar late at night. She didn't think anyone would be around the area this late at night with materia on them, so she was just taking a peaceful walk. She was humming to herself as she walked down the dark alleyways with her hands in her pockets. Compared to the background, she was the most colorful and out-of-place thing there. Her clothes were a mix of bright colours and everything around her was dark, droopy, and grey. "This place looks better in the day-time," she said quietly with a bored look on her face.
